New Wave Energy Is Your New Natural Gas Provider

New Wave Energy’s Acquisition of ENGIE Power & Gas Natural Gas Supply Contracts

In August 2025, NextEra Energy Services acquired ENGIE Power & Gas LLC’s (EPG) natural gas supply business and assigned natural gas supply contracts in Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania to its affiliate, New Wave Energy, LLC (New Wave Energy). This means that New Wave Energy is now your natural gas supplier. If your account is in Illinois, your account has been assigned to our affiliate, NextEra Energy Services Midwest. This page explains the transition process and the additional steps that our newly transferred customers may need to take for their natural gas supply.

We are transitioning EPG’s natural gas customers to New Wave Energy. Our goal is to make the process as easy as possible for our customers.

By transitioning to New Wave Energy, our customers will have the opportunity to leverage the full suite of capabilities of our organization, which include energy supply, renewables, efficiency solutions and an established track record of implementing those solutions effectively and efficiently.

What Happens to Your Billing?

If you only receive your natural gas invoice from your utility, you will continue to receive your natural gas invoices from them with no action needed on your part and no interruption in service of any kind. 

You should have received a notification from EPG regarding New Wave Energy’s acquisition of your natural gas supply contract. 

You will begin receiving invoices from New Wave Energy, please note our new payment information. Once you receive your first New Wave Energy bill, you will have the option to pay by check, wire, or ACH.
