Energy deregulation operates through reverse auction, where energy generating companies offer to sell the energy they produce at the lowest possible rate. Independent agencies such as New Wave Energy then purchase the energy needed to suit the demand we predict, and then set the best rate for our customers.
The transportation, delivery, and infrastructure maintenance/upkeep will still be handled by your local utility company. The utility companies are responsible for transmitting the energy, but they are not responsible for setting the rate energy consumers pay. This allows energy users to receive the same service, but at a rate that best fits their needs.
